The aim of the Finance Council
To ensure that St Columba’s is fully resourced and equipped for mission, the Code of Canon Law requires we organise a Finance Council.
As a standing council of the Parish, the Finance Council offers its technical skills in financial matters to the Parish Priest.
The Council members are lawyers, tax experts, accountants, a retired actuary, and an IT expert. Our Parish priest, the Parish Treasurer and Parish Pastoral Council Chair are also members of the Finance Council.
The Finance Council meets at regular intervals to review the annual Parish Income and Expense, to review the long range planning objectives of the Parish, and may also examine various procedures for boosting parish income.
